    PT. Eratex Djaja, Tbk was established in Indonesia in 1972 initially as a joint-venture textile operation between two prominent Hong kong textile consortiums and an Indonesia partner. Garment Division was created in the 80's as part of a vertical integration plan. The company went public and listed in the Jakarta Stock Exchange since 1990.With over 30 years of supplying quality apparel product to our customers, we have evolved to be a major supplier to the middle-high price point customers in the local and international markets. Our major production facility as Garment manufacturing is located in probolinggo, 100 km from Surabaya, with a built-up area of 5000 m2 on a 17 hectares (170,000 Sq meter) site with a work force of over 4,500 employees.

    The good thingsKerja di perusahaan tersebut memiliki keuntungan yang bagus. Gaji yang besar jika ditambahkan dengan lemburan dan tunjangan lainnya. Gaji ini benar benar setara dengan pekerjaan yang Risk-nya lumayan tinggi. Gaji tersebut cukup untuk kebutuhan sehari hari untuk daerah Kabupaten seperti di Probolinggo.
    The challengesNamun, setiap pekerjaan pasti ada resikonya. Sesama staff lineman saling merasa bahwa dirinya berkuasa. SIkap yang kurang saling menghormati satu sama lain. Keamanan dalam penggunaan peralatan masih kurang. Fasilitas Toilet dan tempat sholat kurang memadai dan sangat kotor. Tempat makan yang tidak dijaga kebersihannya dan kerapiannya.

    The good things1. Memberikan peluang kerja yang cukup banyak untuk penduduk Probolinggo dan sekitarnya. 2. Konsisten dalam menjalankan SOP kerja, terutama SOP untuk para buruh atau pekerja kasar 3. Berkontribusi sosial pada masyarakat di sekitar pabrik
    The challenges1. Kurangnya pemetaan terhadap beban kerja masing-masing posisi, sehingga di beberapa posisi mash ditemukan beban kerja yang terlalu berat 2. Lembur tidak diupah, kebanyakan karyawan bagian administratif bekerja hingga larut tidak sesuai dengan kontrak dan hanya mendapat meal fee yang besarannya tidak seberapa 3. Manajemen yang cenderung profit oriented dan kurang memahami pentingnya efisiensi kerja karyawan 4. Minim program pengembangan karyawan, kebanyakan karyawan disini fokus pada gaji, dan bukan untuk mengembangkan karir 5. Budaya kerja yang masih kaku dan terlihat jelas senioritas serta kasta-kasta para pekerjanya 6. Fasilitas kerja kurang memadai, ketersediaan air minum dan pengadaan fasilitas kantor lainnya seringkali masih dilakukan secara mandiri
