Another challenge is the slow pace of adaptation, which has sometimes resulted in market share being taken by competitors. Strategies can occasionally shift and a significant amount of time is spent on reporting and administrative tasks, reducing the time available to be in the field.
If job titles are important to you, this company may not be ideal, as even highly experienced senior sales leaders with more than a decade of service can remain at the ‘Deputy’ level. Promotions are limited and highly competitive, especially against management trainee talents.
However, Unilever continues to improve and genuinely listens to its employees.
