We were founded in 1987 and from our initial operations in the motorcycle distribution business, we subsequently expanded into related areas such as motorcycle retail sales and consumer parts. In late 2010, we commenced a strategic transformation of our business, shifting the focus of our operations from being largely an agency-based business to that of a more principal-driven business in order to gain greater control over our growth.This strategic transformation led to our recapitalization in 2011 and several material corporate actions, including our acquisition of a car rental company, MPM Rent, and automotive financing company, MPM Finance, in January 2012, the establishment of a new insurance business, MPM Insurance in May 2012, the divestment of four original equipment manufacturer (OEM) related businesses in June 2012 and a significant investment in our motorcycle financing subsidiary, SAF, by JACCS Co. Ltd. (JACCS), a leading consumer credit company in Japan and a member of the Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, in December 2012.We pride ourselves for having many of our products and services touch the lives of Indonesian consumers. Our businesses currently include:Distribution business: We are the master distributor of Honda motorcycles in East Java and East Nusa Tenggara. Our distribution business is operated by our subsidiary Mulia, which had arrangements with 288 retail outlets as of December 31, 2012.Retail business: Our Honda motorcycle retail business is conducted through an operating division of MPM under retail outlets branded “MPM Motor”. As of December 31, 2012, we operated 38 MPM Motor retail outlets, 29 of which were located in East Java and NTT and nine of which were located in eight other provinces in Indonesia.Consumer parts business: Our subsidiary FKT engages in the manufacture, promotion and distribution of “Federal Oil” branded motorcycle lubricant oil. It also blends and packages “AHM Oil” branded lubricants, the OEM motorcycle lubricant brand for Honda motorcycles in Indonesia.Auto Services Business: Our subsidiary, MPM Rent, engages in short-term and long-term vehicle rental services and related services.Financial Services Business: MPM Finance is an independent multifinance company. SAF focuses primarily on financing Honda motorcycle purchases as well as financing purchases of electronic goods.
