The owner, Wahana Artha Group has been established since 1972 and is known as the most integrated motorcycle business group in Indonesia; doing distribution, retail, financing, logistic, and rental.SMI's first venture in the hospitality business was the opening of Amaris Bogor Padjajaran in September 2011. Realizing the huge potential of business travelers, we now agressively build new business hotels across Indonesia. Currently, SMI has 7 hotels in operation with 871 rooms and another 2 projects in the planning stage.By 2019, we target ourselves to own 15 hotels, collaborating with multi reputable hotel operators and joint venture partners.Our third venture is the F&B business. SMI owns the Master Franchise of KyoChon Chicken for Indonesia. KyoChon is the most famous fried chicken brand in South Korea with about 1,000 stores in Korea, US, China, Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines, Japan and Cambodia. Our first KyoChon store opened in Pacific Place Mall in October 2013. The second store opened in Kota Kasablanka in February 2014. The third in Gandaria City in March 2014, followed by Mall Kelapa Gading in November 2014, Pondok Indah Mall in April 2016 and the latest Hermina Office Tower Kemayoran and PIK Avenue in September 2016.Looking forward, by having aggresive business expansion plan, Sahari Investment should become a significant player of the hospitality industry in Indonesia.
