    If you can, find people who used to work there and ask them honestly how it was
    The good thingsThe salary is fair but not very competitive
    The challengesSome senior staff expect a lot of respect but don't always give it back. Even though most leaders are millennials or gen Xs, some behave in quite old-fashioned ways. There is more behind the scenes conflict than you might expect. This can make teamwork harder and affect how you feel day to day. Super draining, imo. "Flexible hours" not what it sounds like or WFH, it's the same thing. The flexibility is not really about freedom. It often means your schedule can change suddenly or you get unexpected tasks even in the weekends. Work life balance it's a myth here. Some managers/heads/directors are good, some are definitely not. Before accepting an offer, try to learn as much as you can about the people, this matters a lot for your growth and wellbeing.

    The good thingsGaji meskipun tidak UMR tapi lumayan dibandingkan tempat kerja lain. Gedung bagus dan estetik, fasilitas murid lengkap, training rutin
    The challengesTraining rutin namun tuntutan juga besar. Salah sedikit akan jadi masalah dan skill kita dipertanyakan lagi. Beberapa karyawan mungkin dieprlakukan seolah penting, namun yang lain sangat berbanding terbalik. Diberi kelas saja sudah cukup, tidak dilibatkan kegiatan di luar kelas. Belum lagi customer yang sering komplain dan guru akan langsung disalahkan tanpa melihat background dari komplain dan manajemennya. Workload sngat banyak. Weekend pun harus mengerjakan laporan siswa, atau mengkoreksi hasil tes, atau bahkan membuat lesson plan. Cuti hanya bisa sehari 1 guru dan pemberitahuan maks H-1 bulan.

    A great place to learn and grow as a teacher
    The good thingsWhat I enjoy most is the opportunity to teach students of all ages, starting from 3 years old. It’s a fulfilling experience that keeps me learning and adapting. The working environment is positive—my colleagues are supportive, the management is approachable, and the atmosphere encourages collaboration and professional growth. There is a clear structure to the teaching materials, and feedback is often welcomed, which makes it easier to grow as an educator.
    The challengesOne of the biggest challenges is the inconsistency in salary raises, which can affect motivation over time. More transparency and consistency in this area would help employees feel more valued and secure.

    Years ago, I really wanted to work at EF. I tried so many times to work here but failed. Finally I was hired at EF for their new branch. Actually it's not as good as what I expected. The management was quite toxic. They didn't even respect their staff, especially CC position. They didn't count and pay my salary (cut off) and my meals allowances as well. The Central Director always pushed us to hit the target like crazy. And they changed the working hours into 3 shifts (normally 2 shifts).
    The good thingsA good pathway to learn English with fun methods.
    The challengesThe target is too high (must be 40 new students a month!) that mostly people who worked here couldn't reach even an half of it.

    The Demands Were Not Comparable to the Salary
    The good thingsI loved the environment at the Center; most of the staff members were welcoming, humble, and supportive, and even the customers/clients were generally kind. The events were good.
    The challengesThe Line Manager (Center Director/CD) has poor management skills. The CD never provided a satisfactory solution, immediately blamed employees for any customer complaints without understanding the issue, anti-criticism, involved personal problems in the workplace even if they were unrelated, and did not provide CD employees with opportunities for growth (low salaries including low bonuses). Every month and year, targets were always increasing, making it quite stressful. Even my job description was added, where in the end I couldn't focus on my main job description.

    The good thingsEF English First doesn't just perceive you as an employee: you're deemed as an individual. You are given the right to talk and share what you think as the best improvement. You are not just being forsaken: your every progress is meticulously being appreciated. Eduka trusts honesty more than anything: you are trained to be as you are. You work with your own sincerity.
    The challengesBeing a multi-national English school isn't always easy. Some local startups will always try to deprive EF's fame. You are to be ready to read black marketings on social media: and even being accused of doing something that you don't do. Just lock your heart and love your students: those are what you have to do.

    The good thingsKomunikasi dan koordinasi antar co-worker enak banget, begitu juga dengan atasan. Rasanya hampir tidak ada gap antara atasan dengan seorang Service Consultant (SC), mereka sangat supportive dan sangat melihat apa yang dibutuhkan oleh seorang SC untuk bisa excel di dalam pekerjaannya. Gonna miss you guys!
    The challengesHampir tidak ada. Kesulitannya hanya ada pada jobdesk saja. Selama bisa dikerjakan dengan tepat waktu dan catch-up dengan pace yang sudah ditentukan, tidak akan ada masalah dengan pekerjaannya.

    Fun and challenging.
    The good thingsGood management, helpful co-workers and managers. Lots of experience gains and a lot of career development. Salaries are worth the challenge, and they gave a lot of bonuses. Would recommend working here if you are fresh graduates.
    The challengesSometimes the students are a bit moody and the screen time usage may or may not affect your fatigue. Not that hectic but its not a walk in the park. Challenges are meant to be tackled, occasionally you may find troublesome students.

    It was my greatest first job ever
    The good thingsEverybody welcomed me open hand. Other teachers helped me whenever I found issues. The whole atmosphere was almost like a family. Very friendly, yet, still professional.
    The challengesWorking with children might take some kind of adaptation since children always want to play. So, as a teacher we nees to find a way to keep them on track by giving them interesting activities which still correlates to the material.i

    The good thingsWhen the first time I joined with the English First as teaching staff, I didn't realize that they will really have great mentorship system. They paid attention to our personal development as teachers, gave us different workshop and training for free, also free consulting with the senior teachers. EF feels like a family to me, and everyone is very supportive.
    The challengesI guess the biggest challenge was the fact that the disparity in terms of salary is pretty obvious between local teachers and native-speaker teachers. I guess if the gap between the salary is not that wide the company will maintain many more potential teachers

    The good thingsTeman-teman yang baik, teamwork. Banyak belajar hal baru. Punya teman dari berbagai negara adalah pengalaman yg menyenangkan. Manager pun mau mendengar saran. Salah satu perusahaan terbaik dimana saya bekerja adalah EF.
    The challengesHampir tidak ada kesulitan berarti. Namun akan lebih baik jika sebagai a fresh graduate mencari pengalaman disini. Jika sudah well-experience saya kurang suggest.
