    A consortium of Indonesian Birds , The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds and Birdlife International has formed Harapan Rainforest to protect and restore 100,000 ha of lowland dry forest and ecosystems in South Sumatra and Jambi , Sumatra , under the first ecosystem restoration permit issued by Indonesian government. With the support of several donors , including the governments of Germany and Denmark , Harapan Rainforest will make a significant contribution to the global debate on ecosystem restoration , conservation of biodiversity , combating deforestation and climate change
