What’s it like working at Bank of China?

    AI summary of recent reviews

Employees at Bank of China appreciate the generous benefits offered, including good health insurance, allowances, bonuses, and distribution of supplies. They also value the supportive colleagues and working environment, as well as the training opportunities available.

However, there are some potential areas for improvement. For new graduates, there can be a lack of training and clarity during the initial onboarding process. Some employees feel that internal processes and workflows could be streamlined, and there are opportunities to enhance communication between departments to improve overall efficiency. Additionally, certain roles, such as in the credit department, can experience a heavy workload at times.

    My Point of View
The good thingsBenefit are generous especially during pandemic, was given extra allowances for transport and food. The company always distribute plenty health supplies and masks a few times per week
The challengesFor fresh graduate, lack of training in the beginning makes daily activities confusing and uncertain, as it is expected to deal with clients almost from the beginning. Lack of job desk clarity and department function makes it worse, especially in credit department, it is expected for credit department to deal with all miscellaneous problems that are not supposed to be our responsibilities. Communication between departments are very poor and other departments are not being responsible enough with their own work, so in the end credit departments takes all the burden

The good things* Great employee benefits * Supportive colleagues and working environment
The challenges*World-class bank in name but internal process, workflow, and management is telling a different story *Expects a newborn horse to win a derby *Horrendous chemistry between departments slowed down the overall progress of your work. Do not expect empathy, sympathy, and a sense of urgency.
