In 2017, the competition reached a new level as the Company competed with not only companies which offer similar services, but also application-based companies with all the conveniences that they offered.The app-based transportation service or online taxi service has transformed the way customer order a taxi: From hailing a taxi on the road and ordering by phone to using application or ordering over internet. Online taxi service also aggressively promoted their services to grab more customers. The lack of regulation from the government has led the online taxi operators to charge the fee independently.The impact of the highly stiff competition between conventional taxi and online taxi operators was the drop in the utilization and productivity of the fleets.Express Group realized the need to adapt, adjust with the changes.
