How do you contribute to solve Indonesia’s social problems especially poverty in remote areas? At Amartha you will be part of a team that is helping the access of financial services to low-income families in Indonesia’s rural areas because we believe microfinance is an entry point to alleviate poverty and drive inclusive growth. Amartha Microfinance is an inclusive microfinance initiative dedicated to serve those living at the very bottom of socioeconomic ladder. We customized the Grameen group lending system with Indonesia’s local context and, in some cases, with Islamic sharia law. Coupled with our financial services and education, the business model allows poor families to receive working capital and build business based on transparency, accountability and participation. Started in 2010, now we have empowered 5.500+ low-income families in 60+ villages. We persistently expand our outreach in order to reach many low-income families earn more income and participate more fully in the formal economy. Our shared mission is to empower low-income families in rural areas through affordable financial services, enabling them to pursue life for greater purpose.
