My internship at Zettabyte had a significant impact on shaping my work habits. I was trained to complete tasks with discipline and remain adaptive to changes occurring during the development process. Furthermore, the work environment at Zettabyte encouraged me to be unafraid to learn new things and to embrace challenges, allowing me to continue to develop both technically and professionally.The good thingsDuring my internship, I truly enjoyed the open communication culture and full support from my mentors. Every step of the way to understand a task and use a framework was accompanied by clear and responsive explanations. At Zettabyte, we have a positive tradition whereby if we get stuck on a task for more than 10 minutes, we are encouraged to immediately discuss it with our mentor or leader. This habit not only helps expedite task completion but also prevents personal assumptions that can hinder team collaboration. This culture of mutual support and active discussion is what kept me comfortable and motivated throughout my internship.
The challengesDuring my internship, I faced several challenges that ultimately became valuable experiences for my personal development. Each task was always accompanied by a specific deadline, allowing me to become accustomed to working under pressure and learn to prioritize effectively. Furthermore, I was placed in a new division, developing end-to-end automation testing using Cypress—a field I had never previously explored. While initially challenging, this experience pushed me to adapt quickly and learn new things both independently and through mentorship.
