You will be working with very smart employees and lecturers so expect a lot of improvements in regard to your skills and knowledge. In short, you'll get smarter each day.
The challengesThis is an education institution, so do not expect a career path if you're not a lecturer and just a non-academic staff, no matter what your qualifications are. You will be disappointed for expecting too much, and it's not really their fault. Decision-making and approvals are centralized. When the boss says a certain decision has to be executed, it has to be executed no matter what. Also, expect to 'contribute' outside of working hours a lot. Integrity is a must-have for employees, but apparently not for some certain leaders.
