    student counselor
    Sep 2020
Less than 1 year in the role
working in superstar education made me learn a lot of soft-skill and hard-skill. I learnt how to manage the visa, persuade the potential student, and lot of marketing skills.
The good thingsGood environment for fresh graduates. They were really genuine to help you learn. I met a lot of Country representatives of the Universities, and ambassadors also. Often we have agents training in 5-star hotels and resto. Really recommended for applicants who interested in meeting with Campus Representatives from around the world, especially from Australia.
The challengesI find the internal conflict in the office and inter-branch (between the main branch in Australia and the Indonesia branch) really disturbing for working professionally. Even though the title is 'counselor', I don't recommend it for a Psychology or counseling degree, because the main job is not counseling but more like marketing. We have to compete with other agents also, so It will be a very challenging experience for applicants who don't enjoy sales activity

A good place to start your career
The good thingsWhen I first started here, I did not expect that I will be able to build new relation directly to international universities. This company made me known as a counsellor worldwide. My English and marketing ability are totally improved.
The challengesThere are many things to learn in education industry. Visa, university application, accommodation, and things that I am not familiar with. Also the competition with competitors is really strong. I need to be well adjusted every time.

    Branch Manager
    Nov 2016
1 to 2 years in the role, current employee
Responsible for every aspect in the branch
The good thingsOn time salary payment, growing company, great environment and dynamic team. I have good relationship with the director, known as very pleasant and very good entrepreneur, who taught me about how to manage the education business and opened my mind about how great is education overseas, especially Australia.
The challengesUnstable admission team who doesn't have fixed time for every submission. I have sense an internal conflict, who doesn't really makes the working. Lacking of challenges pushed me to find more challenges and think extra.
