An internship experience that enhanced my professional insight, technology skills, and teamwork.The good thingsDuring my internship at PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional RU III, I gained many valuable experiences, especially in understanding the professional work environment in the field of information technology and data management. I enjoyed the opportunity to be directly involved in developing monitoring dashboards and systems that supported the company’s operational needs. Through this experience, I improved my data analysis skills, learned to work in a structured and detail-oriented manner, and understood the importance of communication and teamwork in achieving work objectives. In addition, I gained new insights into the implementation of technology in an industrial environment, enhanced my problem-solving and adaptability skills, and expanded my professional network and real-world work experience, which will be very beneficial for my future career development.
The challengesOne of the challenges during my internship at PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional RU III was adapting to an industrial work environment with high working standards and fairly complex coordination processes. In addition, there were several data management and documentation processes that could still be improved to become more integrated and efficient, in order to reduce manual work and speed up access to information. From this experience, I learned the importance of effective communication, time management, and developing more optimized systems to support the company’s operational needs more quickly and accurately.
