    Good place to learn and grow
    The good thingsTraining mantap dan benefit yang diberikan sesuai dengan tupoksi yang diberikan.
    The challengesPenambahan workload yang tidak sesuai dengan kontrak awal kerja. Selain itu, pada beberapa posisi, kontrak kerja berdasarkan asas kepercayaan saja.

    Not worth your effort
    The good things-Cross function working environment. This is a good step for a freshgrad to learn more about management skills, communication skills, and problem solving skills. Since you're expected to work closely with marketing team, design, and even publishers. Those skills I mentioned will be mostly used. -High & low season Just like other office, Mentari mostly busy in the first and last 3 month of the year. Their business is related with school and teachers. So when you're on high season, many things will happen from preparing training, giving training sessions, becoming training moderator on weekends, and etc. But if you're on low season, you will have less things to do. - Compensatory off day Since this office has a lot of offline training event during my working period, they also so generous to understand their employees. If you over work 3 weekends in a month, you'll get 1 additional day off.
    The challenges-They less care about you When I joined on August 2019, they didn't register my BPJS kesehatan and Ketenagakerjaan directly. Instead, they register me around 11 months later together with my friend who happened to be in 1 batch. I don't know what's the point of this. I wasn't aware if this is violating employees' rights until I resign a year later. Due to their ignorance on register their employee BPJS timely, my balance for Ketenagakerjaan was empty for a year. They even reported my salary in UMR (my salary here wasn't UMR) to deduct payment but this led to receiving less money in my Ketenagakerjaan account. -Overtime During my working period, they have weird working hours. For Monday, Wednesday, and Friday need to work from 8-6, it's 3 more hours per week (standard hour is 40hrs/week). Again, they said it's their rule. If they have offline event, I need to prepare the training handout, stationary, and other training needs. Sometimes I stayed until 8/9 PM to ensure all things are done and need to standby around 6 AM for the next day because I often appointed to be the MC for offline events. For your note, Mentari might have 2-3 offline events in a month. In average their events ended around 2-3 PM. With all those overtime, Mentari cannot afford overtime fee for long working hours. They said it's part of your responsibilities and included to your jobdesk so company no need to pay extra. -Family company Again this is a family company. CEO and BoD are in the same family tree. They are working closely on day to day operations. Sometimes their idea is a flop, because they just want to catch 'the moment' without having a proper thinking for a long run. Another thing about family company is, as long as you're close with CEO or BoD, your skills and knowledge might come later. They even invited 1 person who don't have capabilities in training/teaching to assess my microteaching session. -No hard skill training for Curriculum & Training department When I was on offering period, they mentioned that I'll be given many training sessions for me to learn and grow. But the fact, I always assigned to be moderator/MC during training events and no chance to learn as participant.

    Too much politics and less work life balance.
    The good thingsFor fresh graduate, it will great to work here. You can have many experiences and learning. The CEO and Management of this company concern about self development, so you will get many training to develop your self.
    The challengesToo much politics, if you want to stay long here. You’re going to be YES MAN to the leader. No complain, once you complain. It will be hard to get Management Trust. No career path, the good career path just for the yes man. For someone who have many idea and breakthrough it will be just like the others and hard to get the highest career.

    It's great to have a chance to working in here
    The good thingsIf you are a fresh graduate, I think it's a right place to start with because you will get a lot of chance to learn while working. Also, you will get an international exposure from many reputable publishers around the world and you will get a lot of supporting people who are really care about your self-development. If you want to improve your skill, this is the right place too.
    The challengesIf you can not work under pressure, I am not recommending to work in here because you will work with deadlines. Also, at least, you have to be able in communicating with English, although the passive one because you will have an interaction with many publishers around the world.

    The good thingsPada intinya bekerja di manapun ada plus minusnya, jangan berfikir orang yang mempunyai gaji besar itu tanggung jawabnya kecil, karena perlu diketahui tugas tugasnya juga memerlekukan tanggung jawab yang besar, Pengalaman terbaik saat saya diberikan kesempatan untuk bekerja di perusahaan ini adalah Bekerja keras , dan mengetahui potensi diri , kemudian bisa mengaplikaskannya dalam mengemban sebuah tugas dalam pekerjaan. Bekerja dengan standar perusahaan yang tinggi akan memberikan dampak postive khususnya bagi saya , kenapa ? karena dengan begitu kita di tuntut untuk tidak cepat puas dengan kinerja yang kita miliki , perlu di ketahui bahwa dunia semakin maju , dan orang yang selalu berkutat dengan cara cara lama dan biasa saja akan tertinggal dan besar kemungkinan mereka tidak dapat bersaing secara optimal di dunia kerja. selama bekerja disini saya menemukan banyak hal hal baru , bagaimana cara saya bisa merasakan nyaman di balik rasa tidak mampu dan tidak percaya diri saya bisa mengemban semua tugas yang di bebankan ke saya . ketika saya mau belajar dan perusahaan sendiri memberikan support yang luar biasa , disitu saya merasa kerja saya dihargai , dan dari situ pula saya percaya jika ini adalah perusahaan idaman untuk anak anak muda yang mau memulai berkarir . Setiap orang lahiriahnya mempunyai kemampuan yang beragam , walaupun menginjak tahun kedua saya bekerja di perusahaan ini , bukan berarti saya merasa lebih baik karena ada nya promosi jabatan , saya merasa lebih baik , karena disini saya bisa lebih bertanggung jawab akan tugas tugas kerjaan . dan lebih realistis dalam menyikapi apa yang belum dan sudah diberikan perusahaan untuk saya . mungkin saat ini saya belum sampai di puncak prestasi , namun saya merasa nyaman menjalani hari hari bekerja disini, semoga kedepan bisa lebih baik , dan saya bisa menuliskan sejarah hidup saya dengan cerita yang happy ending . sukses dunia dan akhirat .

    The good thingsKetika saya bekerja di sini, saya merasakan suasana kekeluargaan yang sangat kental. Hubungan antar divisi pun sangat baik terlebih hubungan saya dengan atasan dan yang punya perusahaan. Memang perusahaan ini merupakan perusahaan pertama setelah saya lulus namun atas kerja sama yang baik, saya gampang beradaptasi. Belajar bagaimana memposisikan diri sebagai karyawan yang elegan (awalnya saya tergolong urak2an karena ketomboyan saya), akhirnya saya bisa tampil sebagai Pembicara yang berani, supel dan menarik.
    The challengesWaktu bekerja yang saat itu tidak ada kejelasan jam pulang. Perusahaan masih melihat prestasi karyawannya dari lamanya dia pulang dari kantor dan loyalitas tanpa batas artinya tidak dikenal namanya lembur. Dan masih menganggap bahwa karyawan itu harus bisa semua pekerjaan alias multitasking sehingga terkadang tidak sesuai dengan jobdesk kita.
