    More like Working with Friends
The good things- There is no boss here, you can reach to everyone and and talk to them, from your colleague to your producer even CEO is always make them self available for you. - In Luminary everyone is my teammate who will help each other to get the things done. - When WFO we talk and joke around everyday, feels more like working with friends in cozy workspace rather than working in a company in a normal office building. - Love the Working From Anywhere policy, I can work anywhere in any time zone that is not too far from AEST, which is fair, and every time I need to do something personal during hours it is always allowed. In other word they allow us to manage our own time, which makes us responsible for our job, but still we have team meeting and WIP meetings, which are fun. - Regular team lunch/dinner in every team event or every time we have new joiner - and it's always free for all staffs :)
The challengesEven though Working From Anywhere policy is great, but as like any other company who applies WFO policy, there is always something missing like direct interaction and there is risk of productivities, which can be challenges for teamwork. And also with the employees located everywhere across Australia and Indonesia with multiple cultures and backgrounds, this is a challenge too. Luminary manages it with regular meetings/trainings to get people connected (Thanks to Internet!)

    Good people with good values
The good thingsWorking here isn't just for a paycheck. At Luminary you will have a very different experience than anywhere else, where good values are instilled, not only in work, but in relationships and personal life. Everyone speaks politely and puts other people as a priority, even if they have different backgrounds and cultures, there is no difference in attitude. This is an excellent place to work and to develop yourself.
The challengesI think Luminary is trying to keep improving in many ways. And been doing it really well. One example is in adopting agile in the development process. And in my opinion, for now there is still room for improvement in terms of yearly reviews.

    Have people around you win
The good thingsI love the culture of this company which we have no hierarchy. I could talk with the manager, producer even CEO and everyone treat me well also very supportive. When they said to put people first, they really mean it such as 1 on 1 sessions with the team lead, team training, team event, and counseling. The company has so many ways to ensure that we feel supported not only with best-working facilities but also mentally healthy.
The challengesWorking with different timezones sometimes create a challenge but we manage it well with great communication and teamwork.

The good thingsThe company really focus on people, they know how to treat the staff members during the good or bad moment. You will be physically and mentally supported. You tell them what you need or you tell them the struggles, the company will listen and find the best way to support you.
The challengesthe company only focus on .net for the platform of backend development. people with talents other than that will be found struggling and challenging although the company will support and make sure you will get what you needed to achieve your goals.

The good thingsThe first company that i feel genuinely really focus on people. The company really support us and make sure we are comfortable of everything that we needed. They really open for feedbacks and give us opportunity to grow as a professionals and also as a person. They also have social contracts that are really great and make us safe working in thin company
The challengesThe Diversity of industry that we work with is challenging and fun. In addition, working with a team and client that has diverse cultural background and different timezones is also a learning experience of understanding and mindfulness towards others

    Put people first every time
The good thingsThe management is always open for feedback and regularly assess the values and regulations. for At Luminary, equality and fairness are important to create a balanced working environment. I love how we can work, build relationships, and have fun at the same time here. In-house benefits and facilities are helpful. We are also recently introduced to WFA (Working From Anywhere) incentives to support our home-office setup. Self and career development is considered important by the company. A performance coach and Employee Assistance Program are provided to make sure all of us get the support we need.
The challengesWe have a diverse team located in several places with different culture and background. It's easy to misunderstand someone in the company. Hence the management always remind us the importance of communication and mindful awareness.
