Kodeco Energy was established in April 1981 and started to develop an oil and gas block on the west coast of Madura Island, East Java. For 30 years from May 1981 to May 2011, Kodeco Energy had been the Operator of West Madura Offshore Block and one of Pertamina’s upstream subsidiaries (PHEWMO) was a Partner in this WMO block. In 2011, Kodeco Energy succeeded in extending the development right of an additional 20 years by the Indonesian Government. Since May 2011, PHEWMO has been running the WMO block as the Operator and Kodeco Energy has joined the operation of the WMO block as a Partner until today.
