Good stepping stone, but not much career progression for ambitious individuals
The good thingsAble to leave work on time. Colleagues are nice and easy to work with. Quite a stable job and good working environment. Able to see monetary benefits if work hard and well as company provides pretty good bonuses.
The challengesAs it is a family business, certain changes are hard to implement. Company is a very traditional Chinese family business and can be quite resistant to changes. Proposals are often rejected and can be quite demoralising if you are an individual who hope to see change in the company culture and work processes. There is also a lot of paperwork which I found rather redundant and causes too much filing to be done.

    A1 company
The good thingsWas lucky to have good bosses in every site I was assigned. Not bad also in terms of financial aspects. Ensures there will be enough projects for the workforce and not just chop heads unlike other A1 companies.
The challengesJust hope that they will hold back the really good staff for the newbies to learn from them. A good reputable company but due to staff coming in and out, the projects also affected.
