A supportive workplace with good learning opportunities and a collaborative team culture.
The good thingsSupportive and collaborative team environment where colleagues are always willing to help. Great learning opportunities and exposure to different aspects of the insurance and customer experience space.
The challengesThe role can be fast-paced at times, which may feel demanding during busy periods. More structured and detailed training for the role would help new employees feel confident and perform even better.

Rewarding for those who put in the work :)
The good thingsI’ve had a great experience working at BizCover. The work culture is supportive and the team environment is really positive. There’s also plenty of opportunity for progression if you’re willing to work hard and develop your skills. Overall, it’s a great place to build experience and grow your career.
The challengesThere's a lot to learn with product knowledge and quality assurance, but they do provide the support to get you there.

BizCover is a diverse, supportive workplace that encourages growth and long-term success.
The good thingsI have really enjoyed the day-to-day processes at BizCover, along with the seamless onboarding experience and the consistent market and product training provided. These opportunities have helped me build valuable knowledge and skills, which will assist me in progressing toward my career goal of becoming an insurance broker.
The challengesBizCover offers both remote and in-house roles, giving employees the flexibility to choose what works best for them. I’ve taken advantage of the remote option as I live in a rural area, which has been a great opportunity for me to work in the finance and insurance industry without needing to relocate. Working remotely definitely comes with its pros and cons. One of the main benefits is the flexibility and the ability to maintain a good work–life balance while avoiding long commutes. However, there are also challenges. At times it can feel isolating compared to working in an office environment, and communication can require more effort when you’re not face-to-face with your team. Staying motivated and maintaining a clear separation between work and personal life can also take discipline when you work from home. Despite these challenges, the remote opportunity at BizCover has allowed me to grow professionally while still living rurally, which is something I really value.

Great training structure and supportive team culture
The good thingsI really appreciate the training structure. They start with the simpler processes and give you a few weeks of hands-on experience, which helps build confidence before moving on to the more complex ones. This approach makes the complex processes much easier to understand. Another great thing is the option to work remotely. The culture is also very positive. Everyone is accommodating and always willing to help when support is needed.
The challengesIt can feel a bit overwhelming at first, but it becomes much easier once you get used to the processes, with the team's guidance and support making it manageable.

The good thingsSupportive team culture and a collaborative environment. I’ve enjoyed working across teams to improve processes and contribute to a better customer experience. It’s a great place to learn and develop new skills.
The challengesAs the company continues to grow, processes and systems are always evolving. Ongoing improvements to internal tools and workflows will continue to make things even more efficient for teams.

The challengesAt this point, i don't have any arears that i would point out for improvement.

An intense role. They need to hire more people.
The good thingsThe team leaders in the Customer Care team are good.
The challengesSeverely understaffed. Overworked and underpaid. I've had a bad off-boarding experience as well, their payroll team are not helpful at all and unresponsive.

Worst place to work - Glad I left
The good thingsWorking from home, some people were great, and there were Friday afternoon drinks once a month getting to know the team
The challengesDo not work here unless you are a backpacker. The salary is low, there is a lack of training and management are not helpful. Would give management zero stars if given the option. Work/life/balance isnt very good, as you are stuck on the phones and are being told when you can take your breaks.

Overall good experience, not terrible by any means just not the right role for me however I gained valuable experience.
The good thingsSupportive culture, there are targets but management are realistic about them. It's a blend of professional and casual environment, everyone knows what they need to do but have a joke as well. It is one of the better companies in terms of insurance, especially for a modern working environment.
The challengesIt is hard to stay motivated in the sales role as it's quite repetitive and insurance itself is highly regulated and monitored. No autonomy or variety in a sales role there and not many growth pathways. Hard to fit into the team culture if you're not in the office often as well, even then I found it hard to get to know people with the automatic phone dialler.

I have had a challenging experience at BizCover due to the responsibilities that my role entails, however I have never felt alone, or without support. It has been a great experience so far and I look forward to what the future holds.
The good thingsGreat experience in a company where you feel heard, its a big family like culture where everyone matters. Great career opportunities, challenges and colleagues all round.

Not too many make it past 1 year so if you’re looking for longevity might not be the best place for it.
The good thingsCompany is going places. Can be flexible and offer work from home opportunities
The challengesDiallers for outbound calls, 100’s of stats, contact / call centre environment. OK entry level role if you’re new to sales.
