    I managed to become one of the people selected to get the opportunity to study and intern at PT Badak NGL and have responsibilities as follows : • Performed a Shore to Ship Compatibility Study (SSCS) of LNG Ships which became a reference for the engineer in making decisions LNG Lady Eva, LNG Gaslog Sydney, LNG Nohshu Maru, LNG Abdelkader, and LNG Maran Gas Kastelorizo. • Performed a Shore to Ship Compatibility Study (SSCS) of LPG Ships which became a reference for the engineer in making decisions LPG Prima Lautan 1, LPG Prima Lautan 2, and LPG Jenggala Bango. • Contribute in performance test fire pump. • Measured the rotors of 2 units of Turbine Compressors and compared the dimensions through CAD. • Creating a 3D model of a stop block in inventor and stress analysis. • Contribute to company events and social activities.
    The good thingsDuring my internship at Badak LNG, I had the opportunity to work in a highly professional environment with experienced engineers and advanced technologies. I gained valuable hands-on experience in mechanical systems used in LNG processing, particularly related to rotating equipment and maintenance planning. The safety culture and teamwork were outstanding, and I learned a lot from the mentorship and structured training provided.
    The challengesOne of the challenges I faced was adapting to the fast-paced and highly regulated work environment, especially regarding strict safety protocols. Additionally, understanding complex LNG processing systems within a limited internship period required extra effort and continuous learning outside of regular tasks.

In addition, the experience helped me develop my soft skills, particularly in coordination and communication with colleagues, as many of the tasks required collaboration with other teams members.

    I had practiced fieldwork at PT. Badak NGL in Bontang in the Maintenance Planning and Warehouse division (MPWH). I received a work request from the Operation. Then, I have a responsibility to arrange maintenance material requirements from the right supplier also ensure the materials are timely and appropriate, ensure that man-power is fulfilled, scheduling the scheduled time and completion time of a Work Order (WO), consider and determine the estimated cost
    The good thingsmy supervisor was kind and also quick to respond to what I wanted to ask. The company environment is very good, so I can learn many things. Being comfortable in an English-speaking environment makes my interpersonal and communication skills stronger, besides that, I am more pro-active, high agility, and highly self-motivated.
    The challengesThe difficulty experienced is because the scope of maintenance is very broad so the work carried out is quite broad. however, it can all be overcome with a good system implemented by the company.
