Good Experience, But not for Career HunterThe good thingsI love work for ASEAN and involve in the development of the region. The environment in the office is also great and like a family. They treat newcomer with open hands and soon it will feel very homy and comfortable. The benefits given are also great, from medical and hospitalisation and also life insurance. For some positions, they also cover education for the dependent children, transport expenses, apparels, even housing and utilities expenses. They are also very welcome with mothers, so whenever your nanny is off, your child is welcomed in the office (just dont make too much noise and make sure you do your job as usual).
The challengesLittle to no career development. The HR confirmed that there is such thing, but it is just beyond reality because for someone to get a higher position than the current one is as same as someone who applies for the job from the scratch again and compete with strangers from out there. The annual appraisal also does not really making any difference year by year so it creates a loop hole of feeling stuck in a position without any given chance to develop into another level.
