As an HRGA at PT Amarta Jaya Telekomindo, I navigated the challenges of balancing HR and general affairs tasks, ensuring compliance, fostering employee engagement, and promoting a safe work environment, all while developing strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
The good thingsWhen working as an HRGA, what I enjoyed the most was the opportunity to connect with people on both a professional and personal level. I found it fulfilling to support employees through various stages of their careers, from recruitment to resolving workplace concerns. I particularly enjoyed the challenge of balancing HR tasks with the operational aspects of general affairs, like ensuring the office ran smoothly and efficiently. Collaborating with the HSE team to promote a safe and healthy work environment was another rewarding aspect, as it allowed me to make a tangible impact on employees' well-being.
The challengesAs an HRGA at PT Amarta Jaya Telekomindo, I faced several challenges that pushed me to grow professionally: 1. Balancing Multiple Responsibilities: Managing both HR and General Affairs tasks required strong time management and organizational skills. Handling recruitment, payroll, and employee relations, while overseeing office administration and procurement, made it essential to prioritize effectively. 2. Ensuring Employee Engagement: Maintaining high employee engagement across different departments was challenging, especially with diverse teams. Implementing programs that addressed varied employee needs while keeping everyone motivated and aligned with the company's goals required constant effort. 3. Compliance with Labor Laws: Staying up-to-date with ever-changing labor regulations and ensuring that all policies, from payroll to benefits, complied with these laws was an ongoing challenge. It required continuous learning and attention to detail to avoid potential compliance issues. These challenges, while difficult at times, helped me develop resilience, adaptability, and a broader skill set in HR and administrative management.
