Vice President of Land Transport

We are seeking a Vice President of Land Transport to join PT Kamadjaja Logistics, a leading organisation in the Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics sector. This is a full-time position based in Cibitung, Bekasi, West Java, where you will play a pivotal role in overseeing our land transport operations and driving strategic initiatives across our logistics network. As Vice President, you will be responsible for managing large-scale transport operations, ensuring operational excellence, safety compliance and profitability whilst contributing to the company's long-term growth objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Developing and implementing comprehensive strategies for land transport operations to enhance efficiency, reduce costs and improve service delivery

• Overseeing the management of fleet operations, including vehicle maintenance, utilisation and lifecycle planning

• Leading and supervising senior transport management teams, fostering a culture of accountability, safety and continuous improvement

• Ensuring strict compliance with all transportation regulations, safety standards and environmental requirements

• Managing relationships with key clients and stakeholders, ensuring service level agreements are met and exceeded

• Monitoring financial performance of transport operations, including budgeting, cost control and revenue optimisation

• Implementing technology solutions and process improvements to streamline transport operations and enhance visibility

• Developing and executing talent management strategies within the transport division to attract, retain and develop skilled personnel

• Collaborating with other departments to ensure seamless integration of land transport services with broader logistics offerings

• Reporting to senior leadership on operational metrics, performance indicators and strategic recommendations
  

What we're looking for

• Minimum 15 years of experience in land transport or logistics management, with at least 5 years in a senior management or leadership capacity

• Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale transport operations and multi-site facilities

• Strong understanding of transportation regulations, safety compliance and environmental standards within the manufacturing and logistics sectors

• Demonstrated expertise in fleet management, operational efficiency and cost optimisation

• Excellent leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams

• Strategic thinking ability with proven experience in developing and implementing long-term operational strategies

• Proficiency in logistics management systems and relevant software applications

• Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities

• Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Logistics, Transportation or a related field
