Technical Sales & Application Engineer

About the role

Marenc Energy is seeking a technically strong and commercially driven engineer to help develop our specialty chemical business across energy, water and industrial markets. The successful candidate will work at the intersection of chemical engineering, technical applications and business development, helping translate customer operating challenges into technically appropriate solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Developing prospective customers across oil & gas, water treatment and industrial markets

• Conducting technical discussions to understand customer operating challenges and chemical requirements

• Presenting Marenc products, technologies and technical capabilities

• Working with the R&D team to convert customer requirements into technical development priorities

• Coordinating product samples, technical evaluations and customer trials

• Preparing technical-commercial proposals, quotations and presentations

• Supporting product qualification and field-trial activities

• Maintaining structured records of commercial opportunities and customer requirements

• Monitoring market needs, competitors and emerging specialty-chemical opportunities

• Supporting relationships with manufacturers, technology partners and suppliers

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Petroleum Engineering or related discipline

• Approximately 3–6 years of relevant experience

• Experience in technical sales, application engineering or specialty chemicals is highly desirable

• Exposure to oilfield, water-treatment, industrial or process chemicals is an advantage

• Ability to understand technical specifications, TDS, SDS and product-performance data

• Strong presentation, communication and customer-facing capability

• Professional working ability in Bahasa Indonesia and English

• Commercially aware, technically curious and comfortable working in a developing technology-driven company
