SENIOR PROCESS (SAFETY) ENGINEER – CHEMICAL ENGINEERING

We are looking for an experienced Senior Process Safety Engineer with a Chemical Engineering background to support engineering and EPCIC project activities within the Oil & Gas and/or Energy industry.

This position is specifically for candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering (S1/D4 Teknik Kimia) and hands-on Process Engineering / Process Safety experience.

Requirements

• Mandatory: Bachelor’s Degree (S1/D4) in Chemical Engineering / Teknik Kimia.

• Minimum 10 years of total professional experience.

• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in Oil & Gas and/or Energy projects.

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Process Engineering / Process Safety Engineering, preferably in a Senior or Lead capacity.

• Proven experience working on at least 2 EPCIC projects.

• Strong background in Process Engineering and Process Safety Engineering within EPC projects.

• Experience with process safety studies and engineering activities such as HAZID, HAZOP, SIL/LOPA, QRA, and related process safety deliverables.

• Experience reviewing and developing process engineering deliverables such as PFD, P&ID, Design Basis, equipment sizing, process calculations, and other relevant engineering documents.

• Able to work effectively with multidisciplinary engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and project teams.

• Willing to work in a project/site environment as required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with major EPC/EPCIC projects in Oil & Gas, LNG, Petrochemical, Power, Gas Processing, or Energy.

• Experience as Process Engineer with significant Process Safety responsibilities will be considered.

• Experience working directly with clients, consultants, vendors, and multidisciplinary project teams.

• Familiarity with applicable international codes, standards, and client specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute and coordinate Process Engineering and Process Safety Engineering activities throughout the EPCIC project lifecycle.

• Prepare, review, and coordinate relevant process engineering and process safety deliverables.

• Participate in and/or lead HAZID, HAZOP, SIL/LOPA, QRA, and other process safety studies.

• Review engineering deliverables to ensure compliance with process safety requirements, project specifications, and applicable standards.

• Coordinate process safety requirements with other engineering disciplines, construction, commissioning, HSE, and project teams.

• Support implementation and resolution of process safety requirements throughout project execution.

Important Note

This position requires a Chemical Engineering degree. Candidates with a general HSE, Occupational Safety, Safety Engineering, or HSE Management background without a Chemical Engineering degree will not be considered for this position.
