Job Description

We are looking for an energetic, service-oriented, and sales-driven Bartender to join our hotel team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about beverages, enjoys interacting with guests, and has the ability to turn great service into memorable guest experiences and sales opportunities.

As a Bartender, you will be responsible for preparing and serving beverages according to hotel standards while actively promoting menu items, providing recommendations, and supporting the achievement of F&B sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, coffee, tea, and other menu items according to recipes and hotel standards.

• Have strong knowledge of beverage products, ingredients, preparation methods, and menu offerings.

• Provide attractive and informative product presentations to guests.

• Proactively recommend and upsell beverages and F&B products to increase sales.

• Deliver friendly, attentive, and professional service to guests.

• Build positive interaction with guests and understand their preferences.

• Support the achievement of individual and departmental sales targets.

• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and organization of the bar area, equipment, and work station.

• Ensure proper handling, storage, and control of beverage products.

• Work closely with the F&B and other hotel departments to provide an excellent guest experience.

• Support basic F&B operational activities when required.

• Follow hotel SOPs, hygiene standards, and service procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum SMK/Diploma in Hospitality, Culinary Arts, Food & Beverage Service, or related field.

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Bartender or in a similar F&B position.

• Good knowledge of beverages, basic mixology, coffee, and tea preparation.

• Good English communication skills, both spoken and written.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Confident in selling, recommending, and upselling products to guests.

• Target-oriented and customer-focused.

• Well-groomed with a professional appearance.

• Friendly, proactive, energetic, and positive attitude.

• Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

• Willing to work in shifts, weekends, and public holidays according to hotel operations.

• Bartender or Mixology Certification will be an advantage.

• Eager to learn, develop, and grow within the hospitality industry.

• Willing to be placed in Bukittinggi, West Sumatra.
