HSE Staff (Temporary for Maternity Leave)

About the role
PT. Pro Tank Terminal is seeking a Temporary HSE Staff to support the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) team during maternity leave coverage. This position is based in Samarinda, East Kalimantan.

You will assist in daily HSE activities, help maintain compliance with safety regulations, and support a safe working environment across operations.

Key responsibilities

1. Assist the HSE Department with daily HSE activities and administrative tasks.

2. Support the conduct of safety inspections and workplace observations to identify potential hazards.

3. Assist in monitoring the distribution and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

4. Prepare and maintain monthly HSE statistics, reports, and related documentation.

5. Support the delivery of HSE training sessions, employee inductions, and toolbox meetings to enhance safety awareness.

6. Assist in monitoring contractor and visitor compliance with HSE policies and requirements.

7. Support the implementation of risk identification and mitigation processes (HIRADC/JSA).

8. Ensure continuity of HSE operations during staff absence (maternity leave coverage).

What we're looking for

1. Fresh graduates with a Bachelor’s or Diploma degree in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) or a related field are welcome to apply.

2. Internship experience in an HSE role will be an advantage, particularly within industrial or terminal operations environments.

3. Relevant HSE certifications (e.g., Kemnaker Certified General OHS Expert [Ahli K3 Umum] or Confined Space Safety Certification [Teknisi K3 Ruang Terbatas]) will be an added advantage.

4. Basic to intermediate knowledge of Indonesian health and safety regulations and environmental standards.

5. Basic understanding of emergency response procedures.

6. Proactive in identifying and mitigating risks (HIRADC/JSA).

7. Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.

8. Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

9. Preferably domiciled in Samarinda or willing to relocate.

10. Willing to work on a temporary/contract basis and adapt to a dynamic operational environment.
