Research and Development Manager

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in food technology research and development, product development or nutritionist preferably within a fast-paced, innovative environment

• Advanced degree in Food Science, Food Engineering, Nutritionsist or a related scientific field

• Proven track record of leading successful new product development and commercialisation efforts

• Exceptional technical and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and draw actionable insights

• Strong project management and team leadership skills, with a demonstrated ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Thorough understanding of food safety regulations, quality control, and industry best practices

What you'll be doing

• Oversee and direct the R&D team in the development of new food products, processes, and technologies

• Identify and evaluate emerging trends, technologies, and scientific advancements in the food industry

• Develop and implement robust research protocols to test and validate new product ideas and enhancements

• Collaborate cross-functionally with Branding, Marketing, Operations, OEM (Original Equipment Manufacture) teams to ensure seamless product development and launch

• Find and build relationships with OEM (Makloon) or factory to produce new products

• Stay abreast of relevant regulations and safety standards, ensuring all R&D activities adhere to industry best practices

• Mentor and develop the R&D team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning

• Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership, contributing to the strategic direction of the company

• Conducting research on what products will be developed and launched, starting from product knowledge, ingredients to organizing campaigns
