SINARMAS MSIG LIFE IN A GLANCE
Started its engagement in the national insurance industry on April 14, 1985, as PT Asuransi Jiwa Purnamala Internasional Indonesia (PIl). After going through transformational processes twice. PT Asuransi Jiwa Sinarmas MSIG (also known as Sinarmas MSIG Life - SMiLe) emerged as a joint venture company between PT Sinar Mas Multiartha Tbk and Japanese insurance powerhouse. Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Co., Ltd. in 2011.
A new chapter of the company's endeavor was recorded on June 28, 2019, when Sinarmas MSIG Life officially became a public company as PT Asuransi Jiwa Sinarmas MSIG Tbk. On July 9. 2019, Sinarmas MSIG Life shares under stock code: LIFE was listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. At the same time, Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Co., Ltd. (MSI) officially became the controlling shareholder with 80% share ownership, followed by PT Sinar Mas Multiartha Tbk (12.5%) and the public (7.5%).
