PT Jaya Beton Indonesia was established by PT Pembangunan Jaya in 1978 embarking from the aspiration to get abreast of the fast development progress in the industrial sector and infrastructure.Having a head start over Asahan Project, PT Jaya Beton Indonesia rapidly gained credibility handling numerous giant projects such as Iskandar Muda Fertilizer Plant, ASEAN Fertilizer Plant, Panjang Harbour, LNG Bontang Terrain E, Royal Brunei Air Force Project, Candra Asri Ethylene Revamping Project, Banjir Kanal, Ujung Pangkah Development Hess Project, and various other major projects.Fabricating the products requires high technology processes and utilization of the latest and most modern techniques. PT Jaya Beton Indonesia deemed it necessary to join forces with highly experienced Japanese Companies, for technology transfer. As a result, in 1978, PT Jaya Beton Indonesia established a cooperation with Sumitomo Construction Co. Ltd., Daido Concrete Co. Ltd., and Sumiken Concrete Co. Ltd. Particularly in manufacturing Pre-stressed Spun Concrete Poles, PT Jaya Beton Indonesia joined hands with the Japanese Companies Yoshimoto Co. Ltd. and Daido Concrete Co. Ltd.
