The DEME Group identified Indonesia as a promising market opportunity to expand their business activity in Southeast Asia. In 2017, as member of the DEME Group, PT Dredging International Indonesia (or PT DI Indonesia) was officially established in Indonesia, with its main business activities in dredging and reclamation works.
It is important to note that PT DI Indonesia is the only Foreign Investment Company in Dredging and Reclamation works, which has committed investment in Indonesia by placing adequate funds and by recruiting and training Indonesia nationality human resources as Management and Staff, including Master and Crews of Vessels, in accordance with Indonesia manpower laws and regulation, who are entrusted to operate business activity in Indonesia.
