We are a small-scale, 4-star, resort of 12 bungalows in Pererenan, Badung, Bali. We strive to provide a consistently high level of service, comfort and facilities with a discernible attention to detail and dedicated delivery in all aspects of our guests’ experience. We are seeking a highly experienced professional to join our growing team in an Assistant Manager position for Front-of House services.

Job Overview

The AMFOH will report directly to the Management team and will directly supervise a small staff of five to deliver a high-quality, welcoming and seamless experience for guests. This role will oversee all aspects of Front-of-House, including Front Office, Reservations, basic F&B and related guest-facing services, and ensure maximum efficiencies through close management of appropriate staff services and expenses.

The successful candidate must be an experienced team-leader, be highly detail-oriented, skilled in multi-tasking and committed to customer service excellence. The AMFOH is expected to conduct their role with dedication and professionalism and ensure a smooth, productive and supportive work environment for direct reports.

This role is ideally suited to candidates seeking a live-in position in our staff accommodation quarters and carries occasional Duty Management responsibility as required.

 

Qualifications & Experience

- Only for People with experience in the hospitality industry

 - Min. five yrs hospitality experience and three yrs in a similar role in a 4-star+ hotel / resort;

- Hold a Graduate Diploma, preferably in the field of Hospitality;

- Fluent spoken & written English & Bahasa Indonesia communication skills;

- Exceptional team-management and supervision skills, experience overseeing the implementation of standard hospitality Policies & Procedures;

- Solid experience in FO, reservation systems and OTA management on various platforms;

- Highly proficient IT skills with experience in MS Word, Excel, Power-point, Google Sheets and social media, providing technology solutions to Management as appropriate;

- Proven organisational ability and high level of initiative, maturity and problem-solving skills;

- Must be willing to work flexible hours, including holidays and weekends on a shift basis. 

- Please note that F&B management experience is welcome, but not essential.

 

Tasks & Responsibilities

- Oversee the daily operation and smooth-running of all aspects of our Front-of-House delivery, comprising: FO, Continental Breakfast service, Mini-bar Service, Guest Relations, Concierge services, and occasional events etc.

- Oversee PMS, Res. System & POS, alongside Management and FO teams, ensuring prompt & accurate responses to inquiries and/or complaints and follow-up action / reporting;

- Lead and maximise efficiencies of relevant teams (FO, Guest Relations, Kitchen, Serving Staff) contributing to performance reviews and ongoing & consistent training practices; 

- Assist Management with the development of relevant Standard Operating Procedures and ensure full understanding, training and regular updates with the relevant teams;

- Work with Management to monitor expenses ensuring maximum and efficient cost control;

- Work with relevant peers to fine-tune inventory controls, ensure regular QC, steady supplies and mutually-beneficial supplier relations;

- Ensure safety and hygiene practices are upheld by staff and with usage of equipment; 

- Priority will be given to candidates seeking a live-in position. Complimentary accommodation & related expenses are offered as an additional benefit in return for occasional call-out duties in case of overnight emergencies.
