SEEK achieves carbon neutral certification for its global business operations
After achieving carbon neutral certification for its operations in Australia and New Zealand last year, SEEK has now been certified carbon neutral under the Australian Government’s carbon neutral certification, Climate Active, for all business operations across its global footprint for FY22. This includes business operations in Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, Hong Kong, Singapore, Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, Mexico and Brazil.
This has been achieved by assessing the footprint in SEEK’s ANZ, Asia and Latin America businesses, identifying opportunities to reduce emissions and offsetting 100% of those carbon emissions by investing in three carbon offset projects based in SEEK’s markets. These include a biodiversity land conservation project in Australia; a forestry habitat restoration and conservation project in Indonesia; and a renewable energy power generation project in China.

SEEK’s investments in these projects also help SEEK to deliver on its Purpose by supporting social and environment outcomes such as conserving habitat and protecting biodiversity, as well as developing community partnerships and employment opportunities.
