Responsibilities:

• Manage the design engineering division (upstream oil and gas)
• Control the division’s expenditures and budgets
• Control the division’s resources to maintain customer and company production schedules
• Reviews the division’s engineering services for quality, suitability and correctness.
• Reviews the division’s workload and adjusts manpower requirements accordingly
• Ensures that technical competency of personnel is maintained
• Directs the preparation of division financial reports
• To the regional Engineering General Manager (based in Dubai) or equivalent. There will also be a functional reporting relationship with Company Engineering Houston.
• Discipline engineering managers for Structural Engineering, E&I, Mechanical & Piping, Lay-Out and Projects report to this position.
• General Manager of a medium-size engineering business providing FEED and engineering design services in support of large EPC projects for the offshore oil and gas industry
• Annual engineering manhours in the region of 500,000; total staff numbers approximately 150 to 300.
• Engineering office is located in Chennai and providing services to the company’s fabrication and PMT offices in Dubai and Asia Pacific

Requirements:

• Minimum bachelor of engineering
• Professionally qualified
• MBA preferred
• Project Management Professional preferred
• Minimum 20 years design engineering experience
• Minimum 10 years offshore oil and gas design engineering experience in an EPC environment
• Minimum 10 years management experience
• Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role
• Well developed management skills and strong leadership qualities
